Cross Platform Support

Now that Grounded is available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo, you will surely be excited to play with your friends. We thought it was a good idea to go over how to set up cross-play for Grounded.

To fully enjoy the cross-platform multiplayer, Shared Worlds, and the ability to upload and download Playgrounds, you'll need a free Xbox Live account. Additionally, players will require a subscription to their platform's specific online service.

Once you start the game, your Xbox Gamer Tag, PlayStation Online ID, or Nintendo Account Nickname will appear at the top right of the screen under the game version number.

Next navigate to the Options menu and scroll down until you see Enable Crossplay then toggle that On.

Once that is toggled On you will be shown a screen that details Crossplay’s functionality within Grounded and an option to back out.

When you select continue you will be brought to another page that will provide you additional steps to link your Microsoft/Xbox Account.

On your chosen device you will be prompted to input the code provided and then log in. Once you’re logged in correctly a confirmation screen will appear.

Once you see your Xbox Gamertag in the top right corner of the main menu, you’re ready to go!

Please be aware that you can only link one Microsoft/Xbox account to the game, so make sure it’s the correct one. If you and your friends are on different platforms we recommend that any other player besides the Nintendo player host the game for the best experience for all.

That’s all you need to know about getting cross play setup for Grounded!
